Our mission

SERVING HUMANITY through PHILANTHROPY. We are committed to this by supporting local businesses and communities to develop sustainable initiatives that help refugees and internally displaced families.

Through partnership, compassion, and community-driven solutions, we create opportunities that restore dignity, encourage self-sufficiency, and help people rebuild their lives with hope and purpose.

They journey founding Lost Faces of Humanity began in 2018 & 2019 after traveling to Ethiopia and the Gambella region with my teenage daughter. What started as a trip to provide clothing, school supplies, and document life inside refugee camps became a life-changing experience for both of us.

I will never forget arriving at the camps and seeing tens of thousands of people living in unimaginable conditions. Many had little more than the clothes on their backs. Families walked miles every day to carry water, and for some, a single daily meal was considered fortunate. Yet despite these hardships, what struck me most was the kindness, dignity, and gratitude of the people we met.

After continuing our journey through Kenya and Tanzania and visiting additional camps, I knew I could not simply return home unchanged. That experience inspired the creation of Lost Faces of Humanity — an organization dedicated to helping turn “lost faces” into “found faces” through compassion, action, and opportunity.

With the support of my friend Don Stabler, we officially formed our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since then, the journey has brought both challenges and purpose. From navigating COVID lockdowns to learning firsthand what works best in humanitarian outreach, every step has strengthened our mission and commitment.

For over 30 years, I have built my career as an entrepreneur and business owner in the international capital markets. Today, I use that experience, along with my passion for service, to help create meaningful and sustainable impact for vulnerable communities around the world.

At Lost Faces of Humanity, our team is committed to providing access to clean water, educational materials, and essential services that help alleviate hunger, restore dignity, and create hope for a better future.

We have since expanded our outreach into Uganda, where we have established meaningful relationships within the Rhino, Imvepi, and Omega refugee camps. Alongside our existing connections within the Ethiopian refugee community, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the Refugees and Returnee Service (RRS), we continue to build strong partnerships focused on delivering meaningful support to refugees in need.

By working closely with these communities and organizations, we aim to create sustainable impact through access to clean water, educational resources, humanitarian aid, and essential services that help restore dignity and hope for displaced families.

Empower Humanity

In 2026, and into 2027 our vision is to create programs that provide immediate relief for critical humanitarian needs while also developing long-term solutions that empower internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees to build sustainable and meaningful lives.

We believe in helping individuals tap into their own culture, craftsmanship, skills, and personal aspirations to create opportunities for growth and independence. Our mission is to create a dignified pathway toward security, education, health, and self-sufficiency, enabling those living in refugee communities to restore hope, rebuild their futures, and thrive with pride and purpose.
